for an compliance officer, who reports directly to LCM (local
compliance manager, my ex-ex-boss) -- which recalls my days in Landmark

Job description:
In a timely, effective and consistent manner, handle or assist LCM
to handle Due Diligence processes for third party relationships
consistent with Daimler standards.
In a timely, effective and consistent manner, assist LCM to deal
with daily compliance consultation regarding government transactions,
facilitation payments, mandatory consultation process (MCP) etc.
Provide proposal solutions / feedback based on Daimler corporate and
local policies & guidelines; consult CCD when necessary.
Assist LCM to set up compliance-related local rules and guidelines
in accordance with Daimler standards, policies and guidelines.
Assist LCM to prepare and deliver compliance-related trainings so
as to ensure good awareness, implementation and maintenance of
compliance at the local level.
Assist LCM to launch investigation of compliance matters raised anonymously at the local level.
Assist LCM to report on compliance to CCO/N independently from
local management and oversee compliance of and within the entity
independently.
Assist LCM to conduct compliance remediation activities: control
design review, control implementation and execution monitoring,
re-remediation, etc. Assist LCM to report on compliance remediation
activities, as applicable, and prepare compliance performance reports
for CCO/N, local leaders.
Assist LCM to conduct compliance risk assessments for the local
area, aggregate and analyze compliance issues and trends, and provide
local summary to CCO/N.
Monitor industry and regulatory developments, and make compliance
recommendations to LCM. Pursues continuing education to maintain
knowledge of current ethics and compliance rules and practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Commitment to hard work, and sometimes under great pressure;
ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; ability to
manage multiple concurrent efforts
Ability to conduct independent research and analysis; strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking
Ability to prepare written communications for both internal and external audiences; ability to make effective presentations
At least 3 years work experiences in an international company;
ethics, compliance experience, international program rollout and
support experience preferred
Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations; awareness about internal control and business operation in general
High degree of skill in communication (especially cross-department communication), both oral and written.
